Types of current - Tipos de corriente
There are two different types of current:
1.- Direct current: It is the flow of electrons through a conductor between two points of different potentials. The electric charges in there always circulate in the same direction and with a constant current. Examples: in a flashlight or other device with batteries.
1.- Corriente contínua: Es el flujo continuo de electrones a través de un conductor entre dos puntos de distinto potencial, en ella las cargas eléctricas circulan siempre en la misma dirección y con una corriente constante. Ejemplos: en una linterna o en cualquier otro aparato con baterías.
2.- Alterning current: Is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of electron flow comes and goes at regular intervals or cycles, and you do not circulate with the same level of intensity. Example: The current flowing through the power lines and electricity in homes usually available from the wall outlets is alterning current.
2.- Corriente alterna: Es un tipo de corriente eléctrica, en la que la dirección del flujo de electrones va y viene a intervalos regulares o en ciclos, y estos no circulan con el mismo nivel de intensidad. Ejemplo: La corriente que fluye por las líneas eléctricas y la electricidad disponible normalmente en las casas procedente de los enchufes de la pared es corriente alterna.
