Variable resistors- Resistencias variables

 

-Potentiometers: its resistance can be modified by a moveable.

 

-Potenciómetros: su resistencia puede ser modificado por una pieza móvil.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Thermistor: its resistance depends on temperature. Types: NTC, in which if temperature increases, resistance decreases; PTC, in which its resistance increases as temperature do so also.

 

-Termistor: su resistencia depende de la temperatura. Tipos: NTC, en el que si la temperatura aumenta, la resistencia disminuye; PTC, su resistencia aumenta cuando la temperatura lo hacen también.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Light dependent resistors (LDR): its resistance varies according to the light it receives. If there is a lot of light, there is just a little of resistance.

 

-Fotorresistencia (LDR): su resistencia varía en función de la luz que recibe. Si hay mucha luz, hay poca resistencia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Capacitors- Condensadores eléctricos

 

 It's similar to the battery because its principal function is to store electrical energy.

 

The value of the capacitor depends on the amount of charge it can store and it's measured in farads (F).

 

 

Es algo parecido a la batería, ya que su principal función es la de almacenar energía eléctrica.

Diodes- Diodos

 

They are made of semiconductive materials and  they only allow the current to move through it in one direction.

 

A light-emitting diode (LED)  is a diode that emits light when the current flows through it.

 

 

 

Están hechos de materiales semiconductores y sólo permiten que la corriente fluya a través de ellos en una dirección. 

 

Un diodo emisor de luz (LED) es un diodo que emite luz cuando la corriente fluye a través de él.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Transistors- Tansistores

 

They are also made of semiconductive materials and they are used to improve the flow of the current through the circuit. 

They are made up of three different parts: emitter, base and collector.

They only work if there is some current flowing into the base.

 

 

También están hechos de materiales semiconductores y se utilizan para mejorar el paso de la corriente a través del circuito. 

Se componen de tres partes diferentes: emisor, base y colector.

Sólo funcionan si hay corriente llegándoles a la base.
